Finding your value in others
+Penny Power says in her book “Know me, like me, follow me”:
In the 21st century people are rebelling against control ….to have followers you need to have the right intention and care deeply about the success of others… Having followers is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ….
Your ability to be followed will depend on your ability to be a “leader”. Not a leader in the traditional sense, this is not about leading a team, but leading a movement and a set of thoughts. Leadership has to be earned, you are placed in this role by those who follow you, not because you say “I am a leader.”
Why do people follow and create leaders?
- Because they trust them
- Because they like them
- Because they feel supported
- Because they like their thoughts
- Because they understand their intention
You will create a following once you can tick these boxes:
O I know my intention, wider than just the the chance of making an income.
O I know what knowledge I want to share.
O I know who I can support best
O I want to help others to be successful
O I will not dominate my followers
O I will share and be open with everything I learn.
Think about that and create your own following wisely!
REMEMBER:
Your value is based on what people say about you when you are not there and what attraction you have created around you by your words, actions and thoughts.
